Position Information Job Title Assistant/Associate Professor Department Audiology and Speech Language Pathology - 37200 Pay Grade 1 Job Category Faculty Job Summary The Department of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology at East Tennessee State University is recruiting for a full-time 12-month tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor in Speech-Language Pathology. Responsibilities will include teaching, research, and departmental service. Preference will be given to applicants with research specialization and ability to teach courses in one or more of the following areas: school-aged language disorders, developmental articulation and phonological disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, fluency, literacy, and /or AAC. Teaching responsibilities will include graduate-level courses in Speech-Language Pathology with the potential to teach at the undergraduate level, and the potential to supervise graduate student clinicians. The position will require an active research program within the applicant's area of specialty, as well as service within the ETSU and professional communities. Preference will also be given to applicants with an interest in forming relationships with community providers and clinicians. The ideal candidate will be expected to initiate and maintain an active and productive research program, and to promote the visibility of the research enterprise at ETSU. The Office of Research and Sponsored Program Administration (ORSPA) at ETSU provides consultations and mentorship to faculty and student researchers, internal funding mechanisms, database access to external funding opportunities, and opportunities for student engagement. Required Qualifications A terminal academic degree (e.g. Ph.D., EdD) in Speech-Language Pathology or a research-focused related discipline earned by time of application. Experience in a collaborative, community-based, and/or interprofessional research model. Licensure/certification as a speech-language pathologist Salary Commensurate with experience.
