Position Details Position Information Requisition Number Stu03310P Home Org Name Liberal Arts Administration Division Name College of Liberal Arts Position Title Graduate Teaching Assistant - Liberal Arts Admin Working Title (if different from Position Title) Job Summary The Graduate Teaching Assistant will be the coordinator of the LBAR 2010 course and will facilitate the delivery of the course to 700 students during Academic Year 2024-25. This includes managing the Canvas site and Box folder utilized by all sections and instructors of the course, managing attendance records for the course, coordinating instruction across all sections, and teaching up to two break-out sections of the course. Essential Functions The Graduate Assistantship provides the student with an educational experience in which they apply specific learning such as functional knowledge, skills, and abilities, gained from their overall educational program, whereby: 1) greater than or equal to 60% of the student's duties and responsibilities are directly related to the program of study, and 2) less than or equal to 25% of the student's duties are responsibilities that are administrative/clerical in nature, i.e. event setup and takedown, filing, copying. Minimum Qualifications Currently enrolled as an Auburn University graduate student at the time appointment begins Be admitted to a graduate degree-seeking or certificate program. Students admitted to graduate degree-seeking or certificate programs will be classified as MST, EDS, PHD, GCRT, GND, or GPR. Be registered for at least one course (anything carrying an Auburn University course number) during each academic term of the assistantship. Satisfy the minimum course load specifications of the individual departments and be making satisfactory progress toward the degree. Must have MA or higher in a discipline represented in CLA, counseling, adult education, or other career-development-appropriate educational background. Must have teaching experience. Preferred Qualifications Career Development experience. Management of multiple sections of a course. Canvas course management.
