Job Posting Title: Instructor of Medical Billing & Coding Position Type: Faculty Department: LSUE AA - HSBT - Business Technology (Kristie Broussard (00056048) (Inherited)) Work Location: LSU - Eunice Pay Grade: Academic Job Description: Full-time instructor of LSUE responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in Medical Billing and Coding and other assigned subject areas pertaining to the department. Duties include: teaching courses, developing curriculum, and assessing student learning outcomes. Faculty member will work closely with the program coordinator and other instructors to ensure the delivery of effective and engaging instruction Job Responsibilities: 60% Teach assigned courses in accordance with the curriculum and learning objectives; Develop and update course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans and assessments; Strong knowledge and expertise in the subject area; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment; Demonstrated commitment to student success and engagement; Utilize various teaching methods and technologies to enhance student learning; Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their academic progress; Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant information 15% Collaborate with colleagues to develop and revise curriculum as needed Participate in departmental and institutional meetings, committees, and professional development activities. Stay current with advancements in the field and incorporate relevant updates into instructional practices. Professional Training and Development. Instructor will receive coaching and support for presentation and teaching in the Online space. 25% Provide academic advising and support to students as needed. Maintain office hours and ways to communicate with students when questions may arise. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree 3 years Experience in Medical Billing and Coding (Inpatient and Outpatient). Must have familiarity with revenue cycle management. Preferred Qualifications: 5 years Experience in Medical Billing and Coding (Inpatient and Outpatient). Must have familiarity with revenue cycle management. Previous instruction experience.
