The Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering offers undergraduate degrees in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, and Environmental Engineering. Additional department information can be found athttps://www.ccee.ncsu.edu Essential Job Duties The Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering (CCEE) at North Carolina State University (NCSU) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Geotechnical Engineering. We are seeking candidates with demonstrated expertise and a strong research record in geotechnical and geomechanics engineering. Ideal candidates will have the ability to: Develop and sustain a nationally recognized, externally funded research program within their area of specialization. Teach both undergraduate and graduate courses in geotechnical engineering and related fields. Collaborate effectively across disciplines to advance the missions of the department and the college. Participate in multidisciplinary initiatives and contribute to departmental service. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Other Responsibilities Service to the profession of Civil Engineering. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience An earned doctorate degree in civil engineering or a closely related field Other Required Qualifications Strong domain expertise in geotechnical engineering or related fields. A demonstrated interest in interdisciplinary collaboration, working with colleagues across other areas of civil engineering or related disciplines. A passion for addressing emerging research challenges that contribute to the improvement and advancement of civil infrastructure.
