Job Description Summary The Student Assistant will focus on providing administrative support to students, staff, faculty, and administrators of LaFetra College of Education. They will provide support by assisting front office staff with clerical tasks, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, greeting faculty and staff, copying, filing, and general office work. Specific Duties Assist front office staff with clerical tasks, including answering phones, making appointments, greeting and assisting walk-ins, making copies, filing confidential documents, and general office work. Take deliveries across campus, order and maintain office supply inventory, and perform other tasks/duties as assigned. Assist with planning and operation, as well as other event preparation Provide administrative support, guidance, and customer service to program chairs, faculty, students, staff, and other members of the LFCE community Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Must be a current University of La Verne student with Federal Work Study eligibility for the 24/25 academic year High school diploma Federal Work Study Excellent written and verbal communication MS Office Suite GSuite Preferred Qualifications Good customer service skills Good organizational skills Bilingual Benefits Summary Employees are eligible for the following benefits: One hour of Paid Sick Leave for every 30 hours worked, with a maximum accrual of 24 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year and capped at 48 hours. University of La Verne Defined Contribution Retirement Plan - can contribute employee voluntary contributions, excluding wages derived from federal work study funds. In accordance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), employees who work an average of 30 or more hours per week, will be eligible for medical coverage through the University of La Verne.
