Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Ensuring compliance of financial requirements as per Companies Ordinance, applicable regulations imposed by the concerned regulatory authority and other applicable laws, and the directions of the Board of Directors. Implement and manage effective treasury, financial, and accounting policies and procedures to mitigate risk and provide reliable financial information for informed decision-making. Lead the executive team in the strategic management of the company’s assets and liabilities to ensure timely fulfillment of obligations and operational sustainability. Optimize the investment of the company’s liquid assets to maximize returns while prioritizing safety and security. Lead and develop the team responsible for treasury, accounting, and asset liability functions, driving excellence and fostering a high-performance culture. Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of all required reports to regulatory authorities, Board Members/General Body, donors, and other stakeholders. Collaborate with donors on fundraising and fund management initiatives, as directed by the CEO and Board of Directors. Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure timely completion of audits and the effective implementation of audit recommendations. Develop comprehensive operational plans, budgets, and cash flow forecasts, collaborating with all sectors and regions. Provide actionable reports to sectors, regions, units, and branches to facilitate cost control and effective asset and liability management. Contribute to the development and implementation of microfinance policies and programs, including fund management, product design, and ensuring alignment with Board-approved strategies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with legal and international accounting standards. Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and reconciliations, to analyze financial performance and position. Participate as a member of the committees formed by the management or the Board for the purposes of ensuring financial discipline. TOR’s of Chief Financial Officer: Perform all functions expected from a CFO under the Companies Ordinance or other laws in Pakistan. Ensure that the provision of benefits and perquisites to the Board, CEO, and other officers adheres to legal and regulatory requirements. Ensure timely deduction and payment of income taxes, duties, and other government levies, and ensure accurate and complete tax returns are submitted to all relevant authorities. Participate as a member of the management team in the planning, implementation, and oversight of programs and financial activities to achieve organizational goals. Undertake any additional tasks assigned by management as required. Salaries and Benefits: A monthly salary of PKR 400,000/- is offered for this position. Taxes are applicable as per the law of the national government. Standard benefits of SRSO as per HR policy. Reporting Channel: The Chief Financial Officer would be reporting to the CEO-SRSO.
