New York, NY Overview: The Investment Grade Credit desk is part of Credit Flow Trading, sitting within the Global Financing & Credit Trading (GF&CT) business unit. The trading desk acts as a market maker in Investment Grade Bonds and derivatives to provide liquidity to our clients. You will hold the position of Investment Grade Credit Desk Analyst (Director level) and will be responsible for critically analyzing specific sectors/credits to generate profitable trading ideas for the Deutsche Bank trading desk & our clients. You will partner closely with Trading, the Institutional Client Group (ICG), and Capital Markets to assess opportunities within the market & enable effective risk positioning. What You'll Do: Conduct deep fundamental credit analysis to identify profitable trading opportunities for the desk & our clients in IG and cross-over cash bonds and single-name Credit Default Swap (CDS). Monitor relative value to identify mis-pricings among cash bonds and single-name CDS. Maintain sector expertise and contacts to facilitate the identification of key trends and trade ideas. Develop thoughtful content to communicate analysis and ideas to sales and clients; build relationships with clients through discussing market trends & trading ideas. Work closely with Deutsche Bank traders to ensure sensible risk positioning in trading books. Leverage the ICG Credit sales team to create an active feedback loop with our clients; partner with Capital Markets by providing market color around Deutsche Bank led new issues. How You'll Lead: Responsibility for training junior Traders & Analysts on the desk. Building the Deutsche Bank Credit franchise with clients. Generating trade ideas alongside Sales & Trading. Skills You'll Need: Previous experience in the IG/HY Credit market either on the buy/sell side. Existing relationships with market participants in this space. Previous experience with credit analysis and financial modelling, ideally resulting in trading ideas. Strong knowledge of the IG, crossover, and single-name CDS markets. Skills That Will Help You Excel: Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken. Self-motivated. Self-starter. History of strong risk management and identifying profitable trading opportunities. Expectations: It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.
