Our client, a growing Non-For-Profit Health Center located on the North Side of Chicago, has a staffing need for a direct hire full-time experienced Financial Controller. Job Responsibilities: Financial Management:
Oversee all financial aspects of the FQHC. Revenue Cycle Management:
Work closely with the finance team to optimize billing and collections processes. Monitor cash flow, review financial statements, and prepare reports to track revenue generation and ensure timely reimbursement for services rendered. Grant Management:
Ensure compliance with grant requirements and prepare necessary reports for grantors. Budgeting and Forecasting:
Collaborate with senior management to develop annual budgets and forecasts. Provide guidance and support to department heads throughout the budgeting process and monitor budget performance against actual results. Financial Reporting:
Prepare financial reports for senior management, the board of directors, and external stakeholders to support decision-making and accountability. Supervision and Leadership:
As our organization grows, supervise accounting staff responsible for AP, AR, and payroll. Provide leadership, guidance, and training to the finance team. Job Qualifications: At least 5 years of financial leadership in a healthcare environment. At least 3 years of healthcare accounting experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or equivalent experience; CPA Preferred. Experience with eClinicalWorks and QuickBooks. Experience in healthcare finance, preferably within an FQHC (Federally Qualified Health Center) or similar healthcare setting. Strong background in Medicaid/Medicare reimbursement, grant management, and financial reporting for non-profits. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across all levels of management and staff. Strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
