We are 900+ people strong and growing! Position: Senior Accountant The Senior Accountant maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded. Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. Prepares complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports. Analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. May guide or review the work of support staff. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Analyze and reconcile balance sheet and sub-ledger accounts. Prepare journal entries as needed. Support Finance staff to produce the monthly financial statements. 25% Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, preparing, and reconciling transactions. Provide support for researching, isolating, and resolving any discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner. 22% Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for all bank account and all other cash, savings, and investment accounts and related journal entries. 10% Process and manage data entry for assigned areas' journal entries as part of the monthly close process. 10% Maintain and analyze all fixed asset schedules including capital expenditures including identifying purchases to be capitalized, assigning asset numbers, reconciling fixed asset detail, and calculating the depreciation and monthly amortization expense. Ensure CCRC's disposal of fixed assets policies are followed. 12% Review Accounts Payable transactions and Purchasing requisitions. Enforce fiscal policies and ensure compliance with CCRC's procurement policy and with provisions of applicable government (federal, state, county and local) statutes and contractual requirements specifically, OMB 2 CRF Part 200, Uniform Administration Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). 5% Assist with preparation of files for agency's annual financial audit by independent auditor or funders/grantors. Works with and responds to auditor requests; prepares audit schedules and all other documents required 5% Work with Finance and other department staff on balance sheet inquiries, fixed asset and capital project expenditure recording, and miscellaneous projects as needed. 5% Train, mentor, and review of staff accountant's journal entries and related work; provide training, technical assistance, and mentoring as recommended. 3% Complete other related duties as assigned. 3% Job Specifications Minimum Required Education : Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field or combination of education and related experience Experience : 5-6 years of advanced level accounting work experience, preferably in nonprofit organization. Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Strong preference for knowledge of government funding grant reporting requirements and OMB Circulars. Technical Requirements :

Strong computer skills, including intermediate knowledge of Excel and Word; proficient in all other Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, etc.). Experience with computerized or cloud-based accounting systems; working knowledge of Workday Financials plus.
