Job Overview
A law firm seeks an experienced Senior Associate Attorney to join its team in Calabasas, California. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of experience in litigation and/or real estate transactions. This role offers the opportunity to represent and advise clients in a variety of commercial, business, and personal legal matters, with a focus on real estate and privately held corporate transactions. The position also offers the chance to manage complex cases and collaborate closely with a diverse client base, including high-net-worth individuals, trusts, partnerships, and private companies.
Duties
Represent clients in court, before government agencies, and in arbitrations or mediations. Take and defend expert and fact depositions in litigation matters. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other litigation-related documents. Lead or participate in trials and hearings. Advise clients on business transactions, focusing on real estate and corporate matters. Negotiate, document, and close real estate deals and business transactions, including settlements. Provide corporate legal services such as business formation, investment structure creation, and preparation of legal documents, including operating agreements, subscription agreements, and by-laws. Manage administrative and practice management functions for the legal team. Requirements
5 to 7 years of experience in litigation and/or real estate transactional work. Active admission to the California State Bar. Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex legal issues. Experience working with clients in diverse legal matters, including real estate and business transactions. Ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications
California State Bar License (Required). Skills
Strong legal research, drafting, and document preparation abilities. Effective negotiation and client communication skills. In-depth knowledge of California State and Federal Codes. Ability to manage multiple cases and projects simultaneously. High level of professionalism and client rapport.
