Represent clients in environmental, land use, and real estate litigation cases. Prepare and draft a variety of legal documents, including complaints, motions, trial briefings, and client letters. Attend court proceedings, including case management conferences, motions, and trials. Conduct legal research on civil procedure, land use regulations, and environmental laws. Communicate effectively with clients, providing status updates and presenting case reports. Advise clients on compliance with federal and state environmental laws and regulations. Manage an active caseload, handling cases from inception to resolution. Requirements:
At least 2 years of experience in litigation, particularly in environmental or land use law. Familiarity with federal and state environmental laws, especially CEQA (California Environmental Quality Act) and land use policies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong legal writing and research abilities. Ability to work independently, managing a high-volume caseload effectively. Strong understanding of legal procedures, precedents, regulations, and court practices. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school (American Bar Association). Admitted to practice law in California. Certifications:
Active Bar license in California. Skills:
Legal writing and research proficiency. Strong oral communication and client interaction skills. Ability to manage complex litigation matters and meet deadlines. In-depth knowledge of environmental, land use, and real estate laws. Ability to handle a diverse caseload independently. Familiarity with civil procedure, legal codes, and government regulations.
