Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking an experienced IP Litigation Associate Attorney to join their Intellectual Property Group in one of their Ohio offices (Cleveland, Columbus, or Cincinnati). The ideal candidate will have 2-7 years of experience in patent litigation, including experience preparing and arguing motions, taking depositions, handling complex discovery, and preparing for trial. The successful candidate must possess strong research, analytical, oral, and written communication skills, and be able to thrive in a collaborative team environment.

Duties:
Manage patent litigation cases, including drafting and arguing motions in court.
Take and defend depositions and manage complex discovery processes.
Assist in trial preparation, including case strategy, brief preparation, and other litigation tasks.
Perform in-depth legal research and provide analysis on relevant patent law and precedents.
Work with senior attorneys, clients, and expert witnesses to develop litigation strategies.
Communicate regularly with clients regarding case progress, offering strategic legal advice.
Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution when applicable.
Stay current on developments in patent law and emerging trends in intellectual property litigation.
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
2-7 years of experience in patent litigation.
Admission to the Ohio State Bar (or eligibility for admission).
Strong academic credentials.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience preparing and arguing motions, managing discovery, and preparing for trial.
Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Skills:
Experience in patent litigation, including pre-trial and trial work.
Strong legal research and writing skills.
Ability to manage complex discovery processes and depositions.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
