Position Summary
The Immune Imaging group at the University of Illinois Chicago is seeking a postdoctoral research associate to conduct research with the group. The research group specializes in nanoscale immunobiophysics.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Developing Quantitative and Multiplexed Superresolution Imaging: We specialize in utilizing protein-based and small-molecule probes to perform single-molecule localization microscopy. 2. Investigating Cytokine Packaging, Transport, and Secretion: We focus on understanding the nanoscale inter- and intracellular communications of immune cells using single-molecule and superresolution imaging techniques. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications Applicants must have a PhD.
Applicants with the following backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply: Optics Biophysics Fluorescence Microscopy Cell Biology Preferred Qualifications The research group is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including: Nikon N-STORM Superresolution System CrestOptics DeepSIM Multispot Lattice Structured Illumination Microscope BSL2 Tissue Culture Suite, qPCR, Nanodrop Dedicated Computing Workstations It would be beneficial if the applicant had experience with the aforementioned technologies as well as in the fields of Pathology, Hematology/Oncology, and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
