Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

We are looking for a strong Senior Director of Financial Planning and Analysis. Qualifications: Business-minded finance leader who has the ability to go beyond the numbers in analyzing business matters, and makes strategic and effective decisions in the best interest of Club Monaco and our customers. Outstanding analytical skills and a high degree of intellectual curiosity, with the ability to analyze large amounts of information to draw actionable conclusions and make business recommendations. Experience with turnaround or restructuring finance experience, serving as a business partner to executive leadership. Ability to partner across functions to discuss financial plans & variances, align on targets, risks and opportunities, and evaluate & model business cases. Ability to drive change, including FP&A process improvements including, but not limited to, reporting, automation, and systems. Strong leadership presence, and great communication skills with the ability to present their views in a clear and compelling manner, both orally and in writing with all levels within the organization. Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects at once and effectively prioritize mission-critical initiatives. Attention to detail while working quickly and accurately under pressure. Experience leading and managing others including effective delegation, career development, motivating, coaching, directing, and evaluating work performance. Energetic, resourceful, and hands-on individual with a strong bias for action and sense of urgency; must be willing to roll up the sleeves. Operates with a growth mindset while listening to, applying, and proposing new ideas that improve our processes and practices. Flexible, with a positive attitude and passion for knowledge. Responsibilities: The SD, FP&A position is responsible for devising, tracking, and analyzing key components of the company’s P&L including sales, gross margin, store payroll, and occupancy costs. Lead the development and management of sales, margin, and store payroll budgets and forecasts to provide accurate and timely financial projections. Additionally, this role supports the Real Estate organization in the creation of store pro-forma financials, monitoring new store capital spend, and analyzing existing store portfolio. This role will work closely with business partners across the organization to assist in strategic analysis and decision-making, driving financial performance and operational excellence. Partner with senior leadership to ensure budgets and forecasts align with corporate goals and objectives. Collaborate cross-functionally with business partners through the Company, including (but not limited to) Merchandising, Planning, Stores, and Real Estate to support financial planning and analysis and serve as a trusted advisor offering financial expertise and guidance. Continuously improve budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Implement best practices and leverage technology to streamline financial operations. Lead special projects and initiatives aimed at optimizing financial performance and operational effectiveness. Create and maintain financial and operational models to support and forecast numerous aspects of the business. Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning. Responsible for maintaining discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company and customer information. Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports, including business performance analysis. Consolidate and provide insights into the financial results, forecasts, and plans for review and presentation to the Sr. Leadership and ownership. Perform other requested tasks and duties. Experience, Education, Certifications, Affiliations and Other Requirements: Strong understanding of corporate finance and a very solid understanding of accounting with 10-15+ years of experience in retail; turnaround or restructuring experience greatly preferred. Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related major. Is committed to working scheduled hours and has the flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needs. Salary range: $180,000-225,000.
