Overview: The IT Infrastructure Engineer will have a strong background in designing, implementing, maintaining, and monitoring IT infrastructure solutions, with experience in advanced Microsoft Azure network design and virtualization, Intune, Office 365, VMware vSphere Enterprise, VMware Horizon, Cisco networking, Palo Alto firewalls, Meraki, Nimble Storage, SolarWinds, LAN, and WAN management. This role requires managing both on-premises and cloud-based environments, ensuring high availability, security, and performance of critical IT systems. They should possess excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to delivering efficient and scalable infrastructure solutions. What You Will Do: Demonstrates behaviors that support Premier America’s Core Purpose and Values. Available to work the Credit Union's core business hours. Additional duties or projects as assigned. Design, implement, and maintain LAN and WAN infrastructure, including Cisco routers, switches, firewalls (Palo Alto), Meraki devices, and Nimble Storage arrays. Deploy and manage VMware vSphere Enterprise and VMware Horizon environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for virtualized workloads. Administer advanced Microsoft Azure virtualization technologies to optimize resource utilization and facilitate system scalability. Configure and manage Intune for endpoint management and Office 365 for collaboration and productivity tools. Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions leveraging Nimble Storage and other technologies to ensure data protection and business continuity. Utilize SolarWinds for monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing proactive measures to optimize infrastructure performance. Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain IT security best practices, including patch management, vulnerability assessments, and access controls. Participate in infrastructure design and capacity planning to support business growth and technology advancements. Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff as needed. Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. What We Are Looking For: Minimum of 8 years of experience working as an IT Infrastructure Engineer or similar role. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Certifications such as Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect or Administrator, VMware VCP, CCNA, CCNP, Palo Alto Networks PCNSE, and other relevant industry certifications. Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs). Experience with VMware vSphere Enterprise and VMware Horizon for virtualization and VDI. Proficiency in Cisco networking (routers, switches) and Palo Alto firewalls. Experience with Meraki for network management. Experience with cloud engineering, including design, deployment, and optimization of cloud-based solutions. Advanced skills in Microsoft Azure virtualization and cloud technologies. Familiarity with Intune for endpoint management and Office 365 suite. Experience with Nimble Storage for SAN solutions and SolarWinds for infrastructure monitoring. Experience with storage solutions (SAN/NAS) and backup technologies. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. We set standard pay ranges for all roles based on function and level of expertise, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including skills, depth of work experience and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below. The base pay range for this position is: $116k annually.
