Senior Software Product Manager
Description:
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager responsible for leading the development of software products and features for HP consumer experience. In this role, you will define, execute and deliver our product roadmap, working cross-functionally with engineering, design and executive teams to bring customer-facing technical products and ensure their success.
A successful candidate will be customer obsessed, analytical, collaborative, have a strong bias for action, be comfortable driving clarity from ambiguity, and be able to work effectively in a cross-functional environment with global teams, with zero to one product development experience of having launched and managed customer-facing technical products.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the product development lifecycle from conception through launch, handling timelines and resources.
Define and communicate the product vision and strategy to leadership and extended teams, ensuring alignment with the business goals.
Gather and prioritize product and customer requirements, defining the product feature set and roadmap to meet those needs within the constraints of the business.
Conduct and analyze market research to understand customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape to drive product strategy.
Identify, analyze, and integrate new technologies and business models to expand product capabilities.
Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and other teams to ensure successful product launches and iterations.
Provide technical mentorship and support to the development team, helping to resolve technical issues and make decisions that align with the product vision.
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure the product provides a superior user experience and meets customer needs.
Leverage data to monitor product performance, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions.
Engage with customers through various channels to capture feedback, identify product issues, and advise product development.
Qualifications:
Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
Consistent record in product management, ideally within a technology-focused company. Experience in software development or engineering preferred.
Have taken a product or feature from 0 -> 1 and have achieved product-market fit with new consumer-facing products.
Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies.
Experience developing product strategies and breaking them down into clearly scoped roadmaps and requirements.
Demonstrated excellence in using principled decision making to manage diverse stakeholders, including peers and executive leadership.
An analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data to inform decisions, understand user behavior, and measure revenue opportunities/impact.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex challenges.
Exceptional ability to work in resource-constrained environments.

The base pay range for this role is $146,650 to $225,850 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
