HP is engineering consumer and enterprise business solutions and services to delight our customers. These new solutions and services will run on top of the pan-HP Cloud Platform offering common infrastructure, data pipelines, tools and services for software solution and service developers.
As part of the Software Product Management team for the platform, you will help shape the future of our solutions by combining your expertise in data product management with strong business acumen. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, software and data engineers, data scientists, designers and others in order to understand pain points, develop data strategies and build a successful ecosystem of data products. You’ll craft roadmaps that will help build a next-generation data platform for maximum impact across all HP business units. You will help manage data as an asset, motivating and launching data-driven products that will ensure our customers’ success in creating technology that makes life better for everyone, everywhere. You will be part of a team supporting thousands of software developers, and hundreds of millions of users and devices.
Your Responsibilities
Facilitate and partner with business and technical leaders to develop value propositions for data science-driven products that help achieve HP’s strategic initiatives across multiple business units. Collaborate with solution product teams to gather the voice of the customer, identify needs & create platform opportunities for data science to inform the delivery of rich, compelling user experiences. Collaborate with data engineers & data analysts to match data sources, data quality needs, and data science technical requirements with desired business outcomes. Develop use cases and roadmaps that build an ecosystem of data products and solutions that drive customer value with strong ROI. Manage the data platform’s end-to-end product and feature lifecycle, from strategic planning ideation to tactical execution implementation and stabilization. Establish source-of-truth data products and dashboards that the entire company can use to answer their own product questions. Manage solution engagement and onboarding, ensuring customer and partner success in using the data platform. Communicate with scrum teams, program teams, management and senior executives about data product strategy, requirements, development and launch. Maintain clear priorities and relentless execution in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Define and monitor data platform performance metrics against goals. Support data platform design and integration across adjacent platforms in HP. Maintain deep expertise on the solution space, market environment and overall HP business strategies as they relate to data science activities. Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Product Management, Data Science, Statistics or equivalent practical experience; MBA desirable. 10+ years of experience in software product management, data science, business planning, product marketing, or a related field. Knowledge & Skills
Relentlessly focused on improving customer experiences and outcomes. Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. Excellent interpersonal skills; able to build, manage, influence, and motivate virtual teams over which you have no direct control. Comfortable presenting to diverse audiences, including data scientists, data engineers, scrum teams, the program team, business solution teams, various affinity groups, and executive management across the organization. Excellent consensus-building and conflict-resolution skills. Able to connect plans and activities to measurable business results. Familiarity with data science concepts, algorithms and statistical analysis. Familiarity with AI/ML techniques and their applications. Knowledge of agile software development, cloud services, and API development. Technical knowledge of data pipelines and data class modelling. Familiarity with data visualization tools and libraries. Knowledge of HP businesses, strategies, and operating models. Able to work under pressure in a complex environment. HP offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $143850 – $221550 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
