Physical Security Specialist II
This position requires an active
TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI)
clearance.
The Physical Security Specialist II provides advanced physical security expertise and ensures compliance with federal directives, regulations, and standards to secure classified information. This mid-level position is responsible for overseeing SCI material handling, SCIF operations, and training personnel on security protocols.
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for
Physical Security Specialist II : $90,000 to $120,000
Pay commensurate with experience.

Physical Security Specialist II Responsibilities Include:
Implement physical security measures in line with Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), DoD Manual 5300 series, 32 CFR, and other regulatory requirements. Apply knowledge of Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) to access and identity management tasks. Administer and oversee the receipt, control, and accountability of Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) materials. Support Special Security Officer (SSO) and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) operations, ensuring compliance with SCI Personnel Security (PERSEC), Information Security, Physical Security, TEMPEST, and Industrial Security standards. Maintain expert familiarity with the Interagency Security Committee (ISC) process to support integrated security efforts. Conduct training sessions for individuals or groups to meet personnel security requirements, including SCI protocols and handling procedures. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Physical Security Specialist II Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
Four (4) to seven (7) years in physical security or a related field. Bachelor's degree in a related field. Strong customer service orientation with proven expertise in physical security support. Thorough understanding of relevant physical security regulations, including HSPD-12, ICDs, and the ISC process. Knowledge and experience with SCIF operations and SCI control procedures. Familiarity with SCI-specific security requirements in the following areas: PERSEC, TEMPEST, and Industrial Security preferred. Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
