Job Summary:
Raytheon is seeking a talented System Security Engineering (SSE) Cybersecurity Program Lead–P4 to join our team. This individual will be responsible for assisting in the development and management of the cybersecurity scope. This person will also serve as a direct interface to the US Government Customer during important reviews, briefings, and technical exchange/demos. Communication and collaboration with the customer as well as with other engineering disciplines and Program Management is required to ensure alignment of the cyber posture within the program's and customer's requirements. The person in this role will lead the analysis of issues that directly affect the system. The successful candidate will have a security conscious approach to take into consideration the systems level effect to resolving complex programs and the ability to convince leadership that the proposed solution is best for the mission (including program cost and schedule as well as the technical solution). The individual will work with the program and customer in the maintenance and acquisition of Risk Management Framework ATOs, support sustainment activity, tech refresh and system upgrades, and provide strategic input and planning for the system, applications, architecture and design in a dynamic environment. The selected person will assist in the tracking of key roadmaps and deliverables alongside program management. What You Will Do:
Perform Cyber Lead duties, including earned value and people management Implement proper cybersecurity controls Interact with customer to define SSE requirements, solutions, trades, costs, implementation, system impacts, and effectiveness Maintain a Risk Management Framework Authorization to Operate for the system Support developing plans and estimates, task execution, project tracking, reporting, and risk identification and mitigation plans Plan and guide SSE implementations in customer systems Consult and assist program line management with SSE architectures and issues Define security development and test efforts implementation of security controls of networking devices, databases, operating systems, and hardware and software components Integrate cybersecurity development and sustainment activities Develop top–level system requirements, and flow down requirements and implementation concepts to subsystems Support the development of bids and proposals Occasional travel Qualifications
You Must Have: Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of prior relevant experience Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance Experience working in Cybersecurity Engineering Experience working directly with US Government Customers and/or Suppliers Experience working in Systems Engineering Qualifications We Prefer: Cyber Certifications in accordance with DoDD 8570 / DoDD 8140 such as CISSP, GSLC, CEH The ability to obtain and maintain additional program access as required Program management experience Technical leadership experience Broad understanding of technology and working knowledge of NIS 800–53 Hands-on experience configuring and implementing cybersecurity tools, such as Nessus, RADIX, Evaluate–STIG Experience with IT and/or network and system security administration, including operating system security configuration and account management best practices for UNIX, MS Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and CISCO systems Experience with Python scripting and Linux Bash Security systems engineering involving various computer hardware and software S/W operating system and application solutions in both a stand–alone and in LAN/WAN configurations Security features and/or vulnerability analysis of various operating systems as defined by Intelligence agencies Understanding of Systems Engineering requirements, specifications, and Experience implementing DoD and Federal IA Certification and Accreditation Processes, IA controls and developing and maintaining associated certification and accreditation documentation Familiar with NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), as described in NIST Special Publication 800–37 Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a diverse team What We Offer
