Cybersecurity/Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE)
to join our team of smart and innovative technical team members working in the Point Loma area of San Diego, California. Utilize administration experience to configure Red Hat, Windows servers and VMWare software. Apply the applicable DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and vendor best security practices to the system. Perform Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) vulnerability scanning and apply security patches to the system. Maintain the Vulnerability Remediation Asset Manager (VRAM) audit records for associated assets. Assist in the development of RMF packages as needed. Requirements

Must have a DoD 8140 IAM/IAT Level II cert upon hire. Bachelor of Science degree with focus in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field from an accredited college/university and 5+ years of applicable experience. Must have experience managing audit records in Vulnerability Remediation Asset Manager (VRAM) for system assets. Must have Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) experience and be able to patch RHEL systems. Experience conducting security assessments using DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Security Requirements Guide (SRGs) and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) to audit and securely configure network-enabled devices, operating systems, web services, databases and VMWare. Must have experience using vulnerability testing/scanning tools (ACAS/Nessus) and identifying vulnerabilities in security systems. Must have experience patching and configuring Windows servers/workstations. VMWare experience preferred. eMass or XACTA experience preferred. Basic networking knowledge and experience connecting network hardware and servers desired. Risk Management training and experience is a plus. Vsphere ESXi experience a plus. Employ strong written and verbal communication skills to advise various levels of technology stakeholders, program initiatives and accrediting authorities on security requirements and cybersecurity trends and solutions, to include risk assessments and mitigations. Approximate travel: 10% Salary Range: $100K-135K An essential qualification for this position is successfully obtaining a TS/SCI security clearance issued by the Federal Government, which may require successful completion of a background check. AUSGAR’s salary range is dependent upon a variety of factors, which include experience, skills, education, certifications and geographical location. Our salary range includes a base salary and excellent benefits package as part of our total compensation.
