Position Overview:
AUSGAR Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Cybersecurity/Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) in San Diego, California. The role involves: Utilizing administration experience to configure Red Hat, Windows servers, and VMWare software. Applying DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and vendor best security practices. Performing Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) vulnerability scanning and applying security patches. Maintaining the Vulnerability Remediation Asset Manager (VRAM) audit records. Assisting in the development of RMF packages as needed. Minimum Requirements: Active TS/SCI clearance upon hire. DoD 8140 IAM/IAT Level II certification upon hire. Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field from an accredited college/university and 5+ years of applicable experience. Experience managing audit records in Vulnerability Remediation Asset Manager (VRAM). Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) experience and ability to patch RHEL systems. Experience conducting security assessments using DISA STIGs, SRGs, and SCAP. Experience using vulnerability testing/scanning tools (ACAS/Nessus). Experience patching and configuring Windows servers/workstations. VMWare experience preferred. Basic networking knowledge and experience connecting network hardware and servers desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for advising stakeholders on security requirements and cybersecurity trends. Approximate travel:
