The Department of Child, Family, and Population Health Nursing, in the School of Nursing at the University of Washington, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor faculty position with a 9-month service period and with an anticipated start date in September 2025. Although this is a 9-month appointment, this position may have opportunities for funding during summer quarter. The base salary range for this position will be $10,815-12,000 per month ($97,335-108,000 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications. Other compensation associated with this position may include a one-time relocation incentive.
The Department of Child, Family, and Population Health Nursing is committed to promoting wellness, social justice, and health equity for diverse individuals, communities, and families. This position will demonstrate a commitment to teaching and mentoring a diverse body of students in the undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as a willingness to work collaboratively across disciplines, cultures, and academic backgrounds, and develop and sustain a program of funded research. This position will engage in research that addresses health disparities and inequities in under-represented and priority populations and improves the lives and health of individuals, families, and communities.
Candidates must have an earned doctorate (or international equivalent) in nursing or other health sciences-related field. Candidates with a background in nursing must be eligible for and seek RN licensure in Washington State prior to hire (not required for non-nurse faculty).
To be eligible for an H-1B visa that includes patient care, graduates of international (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all 3 steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. Graduates of international (non-U.S.) nursing schools must obtain a Visa Screen credentials assessment from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS).
