Are you passionate about shaping the future of collateral management in a leading global financial institution? Join the Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) Treasury team in a unique role supporting the collateral infrastructure for both firm and client obligations across securities financing and derivatives transactions.
As a Collateral Eligibility Business Architecture VP, you will be responsible for data governance, product roadmap, business integration, and ongoing support for J.P. Morgan’s industry-leading Collateral Eligibility Service (CES). Initially focused on collateral eligibility for liquidity stress testing, the role will expand to encompass the CIB’s broader collateral optimization, analytics, and mobilization business architecture.
Job responsibilities
Lead firm-wide collateral eligibility data governance, including data modeling, capture, and translation across all Lines of Business (LOBs) and eligibility sources.
Support the evolution, product roadmap, and business integration of the Collateral Eligibility Services (CES) across all principal LOBs and Collateral Services (Tri-party and Agency Collateral Management).
Partner with LOBs to align collateral eligibility capabilities, processes, and information to deliver value within and across LOBs.
Lead the collateral innovation agenda to enhance eligibility setup and inquiry experiences through UI improvements, AI, and third-party solutions, exploring synergies across Collateral Services and Principal businesses.
Provide insights into firm-wide collateral management business architecture for liquidity management, resolution planning, and LOB collateral and client/industry innovation.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
7+ years of relevant experience.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to gather, document, and communicate effective business requirements, distinguishing between business needs and wants.
Proficiency in reading, understanding, and organizing large data sets.
Expertise in transforming and integrating supporting processes and operating models for successful solutions.
Strong governance skills are critical, given the involvement of various LOBs and supporting functions.
Ability to effectively communicate and influence internal (cross-LOB leadership and supporting functions) and external (vendors and clients) stakeholders.
Understanding of how to navigate various LOBs and comprehend the operations of our clients (sell-side and buy-side firms).
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Experience with low-code tools such as Alteryx and Python is ideal.
