About the team + role
Robinhood is looking for a security-passionate, data-driven, and privacy-minded Senior Technical Program Manager to work in the Security Program Management Office.
The Security PMO supports a breadth of large and sophisticated security, privacy, and data governance programs and projects. This role will drive a significant portfolio of Data Governance, Privacy, and other Security work.
You will serve as a security and privacy advocate for our environment, working closely with both technical (Engineering, Security) and non-technical (Legal, Compliance) stakeholders to establish designs, track projects, and quantify results for the team at Robinhood. You will not only support industry-vetted data governance, privacy, and security solutions, but become a part of driving a vision and innovative ideas to implementation as the company evolves and grows.
In your support of the Privacy Program, the Privacy team works with teams across Robinhood to ensure our products and services protect user and business data by crafting architectures, tools, and features that make Robinhood’s data collection, storage, and processing safe and secure throughout the data lifecycle.
Your work will ensure security, data safety, and privacy are foundational in everything we do at Robinhood.
What you’ll do
Driving a large breadth of security programs, including supporting the Security and Privacy programs
Drive alignment and execution of cross-functional initiatives
Prioritize, coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously, with the ability to work against aggressive schedules and shifting priorities
Support the technical environment that allows us to deliver Data Governance & Safety solutions to our internal and external stakeholders, including discovery and documentation of the ways that data is collected, processed, and stored across our products and infrastructure to ensure our data collection and usage practices are secure by design, protect user privacy, and mitigate risk
Partner with, and act as a liaison, technical and non-technical teams, including Security, Engineering, Product, Compliance, and Legal to ensure program and project requirements are well understood and implemented
Advocate for security, data governance, and privacy solutions and identify innovative opportunities to advance our posture
What you bring
4+ years of TPM experience in engineering, security, data governance, data privacy, or data security programs
Experience designing and running security programs
Experience building relationships and influencing collaborators and engineers
Experience in data security and data privacy principles or technologies: data discovery, tagging, classification, and inventory; data obfuscation techniques (encryption, pseudonymization, tokenization); data anonymization; data access control design and implementation; data encryption; data recovery, data loss prevention; scanning and alerting
Experience working with compliance regulations and frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, NIST CSF, etc.
Highly organized, strong communicator, metrics-minded, results focused
