Job Overview:

A law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to handle a diverse litigation caseload in probate, title curative, wrongful foreclosure, title disputes, eviction matters, tax issues, and related matters. The ideal candidate will manage cases from referral through disposition, settlement, or verdict, attending court hearings, conducting discovery, and ensuring compliance with investor guidelines, and state and federal regulations. This role is based in Charlotte, NC, and offers a competitive benefits package. Key Responsibilities:

Manage a litigation caseload from referral through disposition, settlement, or verdict. Handle a wide range of matters, including probate, title curative, wrongful foreclosure, title disputes, eviction matters, and tax issues. Attend court hearings and perform all necessary discovery tasks. Prepare and review court filings such as pleadings, discovery requests, and orders for accuracy. Draft correspondence to clients, borrowers, and opposing counsel, and prepare legal documents, including demand letters and reinstatement/payoff quotes. Resolve title issues and perform curative actions to ensure a clear title. Provide legal advice to the firm’s clients and conduct in-depth legal research on applicable statutes and case law. Respond to legal disputes and ensure adherence to investor guidelines and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with clients and the legal team to address litigation strategies and case progression. Requirements:

Licensure:

Licensed to practice law in North Carolina and good standing; additional state licensures are preferred. Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on finance, real estate, or representation of financial institutions in real estate-related litigation. Courtroom experience is preferred. Expertise:

Knowledge of property law, foreclosure law, bankruptcy, and litigation procedures. Familiarity with FDCPA, RESPA, TILA, and relevant state and federal laws regarding debt collection and real property. Experience in real estate, mortgage, or commercial litigation is strongly preferred. Knowledge of federal court practice is a plus. Experience with foreclosure, bankruptcy, or evictions is a plus.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.)

degree from an accredited law school. Certifications:

Must be licensed to practice law in North Carolina. Licensure in additional states is preferred. Skills:

Strong oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in legal research, writing, and document drafting. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of state laws and civil procedures. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a deadline-driven environment. Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining client confidentiality. Job Location:
