About the Opportunity
Our client in the real estate industry is seeking an experienced tax professional to join their team, with a primary focus on managing complex tax returns. In this role, you will collaborate closely with multiple departments to ensure accurate tax filings and full compliance with tax regulations, making you an integral part of the company’s financial operations.
Salary:
$120,000-$140,000 Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience. Responsibilities: Collaborate with external CPA firms to coordinate the preparation of 200+ partnership tax returns. Prepare and process federal, state, and local tax and withholding payments, ensuring timely submission. Address and resolve tax authority notices, tracking progress until full resolution. Prepare income tax projections for corporate entities and owners as required. Stay informed on current and emerging tax laws, legislation, and rulings, assessing potential impacts on investment partnerships and presenting findings to management. Manage Joint Venture Accounts by handling transaction recording, month-end closing, reconciliations, and finalizing financial statements. Coordinate with Investor Relations and Accounting teams to communicate tax and withholding-related cash requirements for effective cash flow management. Review year-end financial statements prepared by the accounting team before submitting them for tax preparation. Perform ad hoc analysis and manage special projects as needed. Qualifications: At least 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on partnership tax return preparation. Knowledge of multi-tiered partnership structures. Familiarity with high-net-worth individual tax returns preferred. CPA preferred. Skilled in researching and interpreting tax laws and accounting guidelines.
