CLASS SUMMARY:

Provides technical solutions using multiple components of enterprise GIS and Esri solutions to manage, analyze, and display geospatial data following best practices and considering optimal data management workflows. This role coordinates and implements tasks for collecting and analyzing technical requirements for a variety of enterprise GIS based applications, geospatial tools, dashboards, and modifications to GIS programs and databases.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES : This class specification represents only the core areas of responsibilities; specific position assignments will vary depending on the needs of the department. Work seamlessly between a GIS desktop environment (ArcGIS Pro), and ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online. Conduct use-case analysis of business functions to establish GIS application requirements and geospatial data model requirements. Identify and define appropriate applications of the system and associated GIS products. Plan, design, and implement the analytic procedures and methodologies for developing and configuring the geospatial applications. Provides mapping services, performs technical research, and analysis. Plan and communicate specific work tasks for data set management, application development, and ongoing maintenance. Compile and integrate map data for automation from diverse sources such as existing maps, file geodatabase, CAD, spreadsheets, and aerial photography. Work with the Geospatial Manager to develop the annual program. Track progress on system implementation and application projects. Creates and maintains data stored in a geodatabase. Conduct in-house training to airport stakeholders. Efficiently create and edit feature geometry and attributes and solve common data alignment issues. Ensure correct projection of different map layers. Configure and use mobile applications and apply a standard editing workflow to support accurate field data collection and updates to the GIS database. Assist in the development of maps/exhibits for a variety of projects including but not limited to Airport Master Plans, Airport Layout Plans (ALPs), Airport Utilities, Airfield Sign and Marking Plan. Assist in performing data conversion between CAD drawings and GIS. Automate routine data maintenance task. Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned. TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Associate degree in geographic information systems, computer science, engineering, or a related field to the area of assignment. Minimum of one (1) year of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS:

GISP Certification is preferred but not required. Maintain Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) clearance. Valid driver's license. Obtain and maintain position appropriate NIMS & emergency training. KNOWLEDGE OF:

The principles of GIS, its uses, and applications. Esri software, such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, Survey123, Field Maps, and enterprise geodatabases. Experience or training with AutoCAD; data conversion between AutoCAD and GIS. Autodesk Architecture engineering and construction collection. (Civil 3d, Map, etc.) or equivalent AEC software. Knowledge of 3D tools such as Autodesk Revit and Building Information Modeling (BIM) Project management. SKILL IN:

Data analytics and presenting findings to various stakeholders. Clearly and effectively communicating, and advocating, both orally and in writing. Establishing and maintaining effective, fair, cooperative, collaborative, and respectful relationships with internal and external colleagues, peers, work teams and workgroups. Aviation or airport planning preferred. ADA

Positions in this class typically require balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

Medium Work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
