Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Drive sit down fork lift to load/unload trailers, deliver product/parts and keep dock organized. Perform transactions using RF scanners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for 5S Manage trailers in the dock doors to verify what is ready to load or unload Properly arrange dock rows according to how the product needs to be sent out or put up Clear communication with clerks to place drivers in dock doors Run all material to proper departments/locations Complete transfers and BOL scans using RF scanner Unload trailers using a sit-down forklift Communication with clerk/team lead for verification of checks prior to unloading/loading product Communication during shift change about pertinent information Any other duties assigned by team leader or supervisor REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND ABILITIES:
6 months experience in a manufacturing environment Previous forklift experience preferred Self-starter Ability to multitask Organizational skills Excellent verbal written communications skills Good problem solving skills High School Diploma PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Lift and Carry: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally, including lifting materials onto or off the forklift. Standing Walking: Ability to stand for extended periods and walk long distances, often on concrete or uneven surfaces. Repetitive Motion: Capable of performing repetitive tasks, including grasping, lifting, twisting, and operating controls of the forklift. Hand-Eye Coordination: Strong hand-eye coordination to safely operate the forklift and manipulate heavy materials or loads. Fine Motor Skills: Ability to use manual dexterity to operate levers, buttons, and controls. Vision Attention to Detail: Good peripheral vision and depth perception to maneuver the forklift and ensure safe operations, including reading gauges and safety indicators. Physical Stamina: Ability to maintain focus and physical energy throughout the workday, which may include handling loads, stacking, and organizing materials. Balance Mobility: Must have good balance and be able to move freely in tight spaces while operating the forklift. Environmental Conditions: Ability to work in various conditions, including outdoor settings, and in warehouse environments with varying temperatures.
