Starting Salary:

$64,912.89 - $71,035.80

About this Position

The IT Project Coordinator provides administrative support to the department and division leaders for a variety of Information Technology (IT) projects. Responsibilities include managing IT projects for the City and working closely with business owners and vendor representatives to ensure projects run smoothly. They will also assist the IT PMO Manager with QA, presentations, and status updates.

The schedule for this position is 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Incumbents must be willing to work hours in excess of the normal working hour schedule and must be available for call-in on problems as required.

Responsibilities Lead cross-functional teams to implement technology and software projects Develop project plans, manage scope, document risks, and communicate relevant information with stakeholders Manage software vendor relationships and serve as the primary vendor contact Manage business and technical tasks by maintaining a work list with task owners, due dates, and notes Work independently with business owners and vendors with application system administration, configuration, testing, training, and implementation Consult with users to identify operating procedures and clarify program objectives Serve as an integral part of the technology/software procurement team Prepare documentation, definitions, and specifications for system deployments Track administration decisions Develop the IT environment configuration needs with Information Technology personnel Complete Professional Development Units annually to maintain or achieve certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or an Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or their equivalent Organize the creation of operating procedures and test scripts with users Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, project management, or a related field 4 years of experience in IT project management, programming, and systems software & support Or

equivalent combination of education and experience

2 years of management experience

People

and/or

project management

Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) (preferred) Certification as an Associate in Project Management (CAPM) (preferred) Valid Oklahoma Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrier Necessary Skills

Advanced knowledge of project management and contact management software Advanced knowledge of Excel Intermediate knowledge of database software and programming languages Strong time management skills Strong project management skills Strong organizational and multitasking skills Ability and willingness to work hours over a normal schedule and for call-in as required Ability to meet the required physical standards for this position Ability to pass extensive background process and pre-employment drug and audio screenings Benefits
