Position Description
Sprezzatura seeks an Staff Accountant II to join our expanding team. Candidates must be knowledgeable in Unanet and experienced in maintaining financial records and ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded. Position will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. Prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports. Analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
Roles/Responsibilities:
Execute accounting activities, including accounts receivable and cash receipts, accounts payable, cash disbursements, and support month-end accounting close activities Maintains the general ledger, prepares for year-end audit, and ensures timely and accurate financial reporting Manages payroll and project/cost accounting in Unanet, to include travel claims Creates expense reports and reconciles credit card statements Maintain annual budgets and forecasts Assist with preparation and quarterly payments for municipal taxes Manage and file periodic financial statement reports with federal agencies Create/Maintain financial reporting in Unanet for Executive Leadership team Maintain Unanet by creating new projects and managing user licenses Maintain Unanet by creating/managing contracts Skills & Qualifications:
Highly skilled in Unanet government contracting accounting system Must be able to oversee daily cash receipts, manage bank accounts, and reconcile cash accounts Must be able to advise on payable disputes or conflicts Must be able to complete other assigned task Other Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting is preferred. 2+ years of experience is required. Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines Location: Rosslyn, VA; part-time telework available Veteran Preference: Yes. Citizenship/Security: Must be a US Citizen or have a Green Card. Must be able to hold a federal security clearance.
