Accounts Payable Specialist

Key Responsibilities for AP Specialist:
Review, verify, and process vendor invoices accurately while adhering to company policies. The AP Specialist will prepare and execute payments through checks, ACH, and wire transfers. Reconcile the AP sub-ledger to the general ledger monthly and resolve discrepancies. Communicate with vendors to address payment status and discrepancies, fostering positive relationships. Process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies. Maintain and organize AP files to ensure accessibility and audit readiness. The AP Specialist will manage AP records in the ERP system and support system updates as needed. Identify and recommend process improvements to streamline AP workflows. Preferred Qualifications for AP Specialist:
Experience:
2-3 years in accounts payable, preferably within the manufacturing industry. Education:
Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred. Technical Skills:
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and experience with ERP systems (e.g., Great Plains, SAP). Skills:
Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication abilities. Problem-Solving:
