We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Permanent Insurance Defense Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This role is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, handling complex insurance defense cases. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of litigation, including case strategy, pre-trial, trial, and post-trial activities. Responsibilities:
Defending insurance companies against claims in both state and federal courts. Conducting in-depth legal research to support defense strategies. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests. Representing the company in all stages of litigation, including depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. Collaborating with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure effective case management. Providing legal advice and guidance to insurance companies on potential legal risks and compliance issues. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current laws, regulations, and industry trends that may impact the company's defense strategies. Communicating effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel. Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the state bar and in good standing. A minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance defense litigation. Exceptional legal research and writing skills. Proven experience in all stages of litigation, including trial experience. Proficiency in legal research tools and software. Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization. Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. High ethical standards and professionalism in dealing with clients, colleagues, and courts.
