Overview

Age Requirement: 21 years or older

Position Summary:

Responsible for monitoring the Isleta Resort and Casino including Lakes RV, Golf Course, and C-Stores via surveillance equipment in strict adherence to set regulatory standards and all applicable internal controls. Provide leadership and coordination in the day-to-day department administration and processes. Exercises managerial responsibility for all department internal controls and regulatory requirements while promoting and exhibiting World Class Guest Service to all Isleta Resort and Casino employees and guests.

All Team Members will display 100% commitment to World Class Guest Service through the delivery and maintenance of Guest Service Standards established by the Isleta Resort and Casino. Responsibilities

Departmental Leadership: Sets and enforces the department standards, objectives, and policy in accordance with organizational mission. Continuously assesses and develops strategic business and operational plans for department maximum efficiency and best practices. Ensures adequate camera coverage is provided throughout the facility in accordance with the NIGC MICs standards and operational needs. Analyzes and reports on data obtained for evidence of deficiencies in controls, fraud, or lack of compliance with Federal, State, and Tribal regulations. Ensures confidentiality of information regarding reports, investigations, and suspicious activities of employees and/or patrons. Analyzes department revenues and expenses in order to implement processes which will increase customer service, set expense controls, and cash management in a manner which will produce maximum profit. Reviews reports from surveillance operators and identifies problem areas and prepares reports on findings and deficiencies resulting from employee non-compliance or suspicious activity. Maintains Surveillance equipment and systems by ensuring preventative maintenance and timely repairs. Maintains personal and ensures staff maintains the utmost ethical professional separation from all other departments in order to remain above reproach and not have integrity questioned. Produces and manages the department operating, capital, and project budgets (as assigned) in order to meet or favorably exceed approved budgeted expectations. Interacts productively with Executive Management, Directors, and Managers in order to work as a management team, provide feedback, exchange ideas, and further the organizational mission, vision, goals, and objectives.

Personnel & Administrative Tasks: Maintains a skilled, trained, and motivated staff by providing continuous communication, feedback, and effective customer service training. Ensures department is properly staffed and motivated to perform the organizational goals and objectives. Ensures staff is properly trained on prevention of theft, cheats, and scams by providing ongoing and updated training on policies, procedures, emergency situations, surveillance equipment, and other required regulations. Establishes and implements short- and long-range departmental goals in accordance with organizational vision and strategy. Sets and enforces sufficient department internal controls which will prevent fraud, loss, theft, and employee and customer injury. Maintains updated SOPs and ensures compliance with tribal, state, and federal regulatory requirements. Ensures company and department records, documents, and electronic data is stored securely and confidentially and in accordance with current policy.

Accountability and Supervision: Directly supervises: Manages all subordinates in all the Surveillance Department. Responsibilities include: interviewing, hiring employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining, addressing complaints, developing and providing adequate training, resolving problems, providing feedback, enforcing operating policies and procedures, and suggestions on how to make the department run more efficiently and cost-effectively. Requirements

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, or other related fields is required. Experience may substitute year for year for educational requirement. A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the management of a Casino Surveillance department. At least three (3) years’ experience in Regulatory, Investigations, or Gaming department preferred. Or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training. Special Requirements, Licenses, and Certification:

Must be able to acquire and maintain a PMO Gaming License issued through POIGRA. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background investigation. Must be flexible with work schedule. Must be willing to work any days/hours as needed or required to meet business needs. Must maintain all Isleta Resort and Casino-wide educational and certification requirements. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Must have thorough knowledge and expertise in Tribal, Federal, State, and regulatory requirements and authoritative published material as related to department. Must have expert knowledge in Surveillance equipment operations and installations. Must have thorough knowledge in theft prevention and asset loss. Must have thorough knowledge of Casino games and Cash Operations. Must have effective people and supervisory skills in order to lead a teamwork-oriented department. Must possess a strong commitment to the organizational goals and objectives. Must show utmost discretion and loyalty to the organization in dealing with confidential information and data. Must have internal control knowledge as it relates to the department. Must have excellent planning skills and proactively guide executive management to higher levels of efficiency and profitability. Must demonstrate a well-developed interpersonal and communication skill, exhibit leadership characteristics of motivation, confidence, intelligence, and teamwork. Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Must be able to lift, move, and place 25 pounds intermittently. Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time. Working Conditions:

Smoke filled environment, exposure to various lights and sounds. May, on occasion, be required to work outdoors. Occasionally may deal with angry or hostile individuals. Must be on call at all times. May work holidays, weekends, and different shifts. Disclaimer
