Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and experienced Director of Finance to join our team at Bay 9 Holdings LLC dba Edgemere located in Dallas, Texas. The Director of Finance will provide leadership in and performance management of the accounting department employee(s), and overseeing the general accounting and financial reporting functions, including the enforcement and creation of accounting policies and procedure, and the production of accurate and timely financial information for Edgemere. Compensation & Benefits: This is a full-time, salaried position with a salary of $52.88+ per hour. Responsibilities: Responsible for supervising the accounting procedures of the community. Produces accurate financial statements and analysis monthly in a timely manner. Responsible for supervising the accounting team members, including performance management, and staffing functions. Direct reports may include Business Office Manager, Accounts Payable Coordinator, and Accounts Receivable Assistant. Coordinate with Third Party Medicare billing company. Advise management on matters of fiscal procedure and importance for the organization. Ensure compliance with the financial procedures of the organization following best practice internal controls. Works with confidential data, which, if disclosed, might have significant internal effect or minor external effect. Maintain month-end schedules and account reconciliations, journal entries and the preparation of month-end financial statements and related reports, including compliance reporting related to financing. Ensures resident billing is accurate and distributed monthly, including bank ACH file uploads each month. Ensures accounts payable invoices are processed through processing checks, ACH, etc. Assists with preparing year-end audit schedules, annual budget worksheets, data gathering and analysis, and other financial schedules and reports as requested. Supports Executive Director and management team with financial and budget matters. Supports and backs up accounting team including billing and payables as needed. Develops, prepares and maintains financial reports and spreadsheets using Excel, or other software in order to perform reconciliations and provide information to staff. Ensures that policies are followed related to invoice coding, 1099 reporting, and new vendor selection by assisting directors with providing correct information. Engage with and interact with Residents and/or family members, field their questions and seek resolutions if concerns are expressed. Prepares reports as requested by property management CFO and/or Executive Director. Implements new systems and software as appropriate. Requirements: Required:

Must pass background check and drug screening. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field. At least 5 years in accounting with hands-on general ledger and accounts payable experience.

Desired:

A great heart and compassion for seniors. Master’s degree or higher in accounting or related field or CPA, CMA, or other related certification. Non-profit experience (preferred). Healthcare accounting.
