Job Title: Systems Engineer III
Location: Hybrid - Bellevue, WA
Duration: 11 months
Schedule: 3 days in-office (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday), 8am-5pm
Pay Rate: $70/hr.

Job Description:
As a Systems Engineer III, you will play a key role in driving the successful delivery of cross-functional projects. Working independently, you will collaborate with internal and external engineering teams to deliver projects that meet high standards for quality, timeliness, budget, and maintainability. Your responsibilities will include coordinating with project managers and vendors to set priorities, establish milestones, and manage schedules.

Top 3 Must-Have Hard Skills:
1. Control Engineering: Proficiency with PSC code and capability in electrical diagram design.
2. Troubleshooting: Strong troubleshooting skills.
3. Hands-On Hardware Skills: Ability to independently assemble and disassemble hardware systems, with the capability to read and interpret electrical diagrams.

Key Responsibilities:
• Project Management: Partner with project managers and vendors to prioritize projects, set milestones, and drive schedules to meet deadlines.
• Documentation & RCA: Influence technical documentation, conduct reviews, and engage in root cause analysis to deliver effective solutions.
• Stakeholder Communication: Represent system/equipment designs to customers and other teams, provide project updates, answer questions in detail, and produce regular, concise project summaries for leadership.
• Collaboration: Build strong relationships with vendors, engineers, managers, and cross-functional teams, including Fulfillment Center leadership, Launch, Facilities, and Process Engineers.
• Design & Execution Support: Participate in design reviews, coordinate with internal teams and vendors on equipment specifications, material flow, process design, and site layout.
• Change Order & Financial Management: Efficiently manage change orders, purchase orders, and invoicing.
• Process Improvement: Identify and lead process improvement initiatives to support operations teams.
• Travel: Up to 30% domestic travel may be required.

Basic Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 5+ years as a project engineer, process engineer, project manager, manufacturing engineer, or in a related role.
• Project Management Skills: Experience managing material handling or automation projects.
• Automation Experience: Design/implementation experience with integrated automation solutions (e.g., material handling systems, high-speed packaging lines, manufacturing lines).
• Controls & Networking Knowledge: Proficiency in IPC/PLC code deployment and installation of controls solutions (preferred platforms: AB and Siemens) and understanding of industrial networking (Profibus, ASi, and Industrial Ethernet) and Ethernet networking solutions.
• Detail Orientation: Strong time and task management skills with consistent attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Operations Experience: Background in operations management or distribution centers.
• Project Responsibility: Direct management or responsibility for material handling, automation, or technical projects.
• Technical Leadership: Proven technical leadership in industrial engineering projects.
• Design & Automation Expertise: Demonstrated design/implementation experience with integrated automation solutions.
