The Job
We are looking for an E&I Technician for our Conroe, Texas plant.
Some of your main duties & responsibilities:
- Maintain electrical systems and instrumentation for the blending, bottling, warehousing and ongoing construction of a chemical esterification plant with a startup of 2026.
- Oversee the calibration and maintenance of instruments, ensuring accurate monitoring and control of variables like pressure, flow, and temperature in automated processes.
- Follows the predefined preventative maintenance schedule for various equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation issues to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, NEC (National Electric Code), and other relevant safety and regulatory standards for electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to support continuous improvement efforts on the bottling line.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for electrical systems and instruments.
- Analyze performance data and recommend adjustments or upgrades to enhance process efficiency, reliability, and safety.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment and the integration of instrumentation and controls into existing systems.
- Provide technical support during HSE audits and ensure proper documentation of all electrical and instrumentation work.
You'll succeed if:
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering within a manufacturing environment, ideally in chemical production.
- Hands-on experience with bottling lines or similar high-speed automated production systems.
- Proficiency with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA systems, and instrumentation used in chemical manufacturing.
- Certifications in electrical safety or instrumentation (e.g., ISA Certified Control Systems Technician).
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, NEC, and other relevant safety and electrical standards.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work in high-pressure environments to resolve issues quickly.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with production, maintenance, and engineering teams.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, instrumentation engineering, or a related field or High School Diploma with a combination of relevant work experience
- Experience in chemical manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with automation and process control systems specific to bottling and packaging operations.
