Description Lead Interior design projects with internal and/or external resources Mentor Designers and Engineers on NX and V5 software usage, global design processes, practices, and procedures Ensure Design compliance to all Interiors global design processes, practices, and procedures Ensure all design requests are communicated to the Designers via the Design Supervisor only Develop manpower plans and support design responsible program quotes, as needed Ensure all deadlines for customer design and drawing deliverables are achieved to schedule Liaison to ensure external design partners are on track and following all best practices Engineering Changes: assign Design Requests (DRs) to designers and ensure math models and drawings completed on time Participate in PDT's, integration meetings, virtual reviews and build reviews as necessary Establish a strong and effective relationship with a cross-functional team of Engineering, CAE, and Manufacturing Maintain Design issues list, support SSC sheets and drive items to closure to meet program timing Ensure all programs hold Design Approval Process (DAP) reviews, and enforce Engineering to complete DAP checklists prior to TKO Develop and lead training as necessary to enable skill progression Perform performance evaluations and skill set assessments; improve proficiency of team Attend Weekly Design Leadership Meetings Maintain Design Part Break Ups on all design responsible programs Attend and contribute to Monthly Global Design Forums Complete signoff and hard releases on all Design Requests Position Requirements

CAD Design minimum of 10 years of experience in Instrument Panels, door panels, consoles, and interior trim - proven track record of success Minimum of 5 years Design Supervisory/Lead experience Minimum of 5 years' experience with leading global team Expert skills in TeamCenter Engineering PDM Tool Working knowledge of V5 and NX Knowledgeable in GD&T with the ability to apply to components and assemblies Working knowledge of Injection Molding, skin forming, foam molding and stamping principles to facilitate design activities Highly motivated to attain project objectives Ability to Lead and coordinate multiple complex tasks Excellent communication skills Creative Problem-Solving Skills & Self Starting Strong customer skills Microsoft Office proficiency: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint Travel: Domestic and International travel required (estimated 5%)

Education Requirement Associate degree / Certificate and/or 10 + years of automotive interiors design experience
