The Department of Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California is seeking outstanding applicants to fill a Physician Assistant position in the Division of Rheumatology. The division provides clinical services at the USC Health Sciences Campus (HSC), which includes the Keck University Hospital of USC and the Kenneth Norris Cancer Hospital.

The PA, under the direction of a Rheumatology Attending, assists in the care of patients with a variety of rheumatologic diseases. Responsibilities include:

Medically managing patients and dictating clinic notes in the inpatient and ambulatory settings.

Ordering medications, diagnostic tests, and treatments related to their illnesses and tracking results timely.

Maintaining records in Keckcare (Cerner) accordingly.

Conducting routine medical management reviews of patients with collaborating physician(s).

Meeting with hospitalized patients for this population as needed.

Acting as a liaison between patients and multiple medical/surgical disciplines involved in patient care; communicating the plan of care with referring physicians.

The annual base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $175,000. Minimum Field of Expertise/Required License and Certification:

Clinical nursing experience. Applicants must have a valid and current CA PA license, and Basic Cardiac Life Support certification. A fire and safety certification is required. If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date.
