We are looking for an experienced Production Engineer to join the US Operations Team working on-site in our Norcross site. The Production Engineer plays a crucial role in managing the lifecycle of the company's multidisciplinary system, from post-customer usage to reintegration into the manufacturing process, including NPI activities.

We are looking for an experienced Production Engineer to join the US Operations Team working on-site in our Norcross site. The Production Engineer plays a crucial role in managing the lifecycle of the company's multidisciplinary system, from post-customer usage to reintegration into the manufacturing process, including NPI activities.
A day in the life and how you'll make an impact:
System Return Management
- Identify System Components: Disassemble returned systems to accurately identify and categorize individual parts, components, or sub-assemblies.
- Assess System Condition: Conduct thorough inspections of returned systems to determine overall condition, identify defects, malfunctions, or wear and tear.
- Determine System Status: Evaluate systems returned at the end of their lease to assess their suitability for repurposing, refurbishment, or disposal.
- Generate Detailed Reports: Document findings from system inspections and assessments, including condition reports, defect logs, and part inventories.
- Prepare Hardware for Re-use: Clean, refurbish, and upgrade computer hardware as needed to prepare them for image burning and subsequent manufacturing use.
- Image Burning: Install required operating systems, software, and configurations onto prepared computers to create standardized system images.
- Quality Assurance: Verify the integrity and functionality of burned images to ensure they meet production standards.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of repurposed hardware and software inventory.
- Support Product Development: Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure manufacturability and testability of new product designs.
- Process Development: Define and implement production processes for new products, including assembly, testing, and packaging.
- Equipment Qualification: Identify and procure necessary production equipment, and ensure proper installation and validation.
- Pilot Production: Oversee pilot production runs to refine processes and address any issues before full-scale production.
- Transfer to Production: Successfully transition new products from the development phase to high-volume manufacturing.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to optimize system design for serviceability and reusability.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for system return processing and repurposing.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction in the system life cycle.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- 3+ years experience as a production / NPi Engineer
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of quality control processes and procedures.
- Experience with inventory management systems.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of the company's multidisciplinary system, including hardware, software, and components.
- Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve system issues effectively.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Proficiency in disassembling and reassembling system components.
- Computer Skills: Expertise in operating systems, software installation, and image burning.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to inspection, documentation, and data entry.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex issues and develop practical solutions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
