About This Role
The Financial Systems Analyst assists with supporting and maintaining the Firm's financial system (3E), Proforma Tracker and other related systems. Acts as the primary contact for all internal users by providing high quality customer service. Manages the troubleshooting, analysis, recording, prioritization, tracking and resolution of all customer requests and resolves problems directly or by escalation to the Elite Systems Manager, IS or Elite. Assists with planning, testing, implementing and deployment of upgrades to the financial system. Identifies opportunities to automate business processes, enhance reporting capabilities and improve operational efficiency. Maintains process documentation, creates training materials and conducts training. Serves as back up to Elite Systems Manager.
What You Will Be Doing Principal point of contact for day-to-day user support of the financial system (3E), Proforma Tracker and other accounting sub systems. Provides exceptional customer service and support through telephone, email and in-person. Responsible for troubleshooting, analyzing, prioritizing, tracking, resolving and following through with both internal customers and external parties regarding outstanding support issues. Collaborate as needed with Elite Systems Manager, IS and Thomson Reuters Elite (TRE). Responsible for Month End close. Assures system integrity by completing balancing spreadsheets and researching discrepancies, including Unbilled, A/R, GL, AP, Firm Statistics and WIP by Reference Reconciliation. Maintains user access setups/security levels and performs quarterly audit of users. Responsible for other system setups, such as electronic billing codes, titles, bank and trust accounts. Ensures that all set ups are functioning properly and designed according to WH policies and procedures. Responsible for daily reconciliation of Time loads into 3E from Intapp time and work with IS to resolve Time load failures/errors as needed; review Time Hold balances periodically. Activate/De-activate LPM assignments and update Matter Arrangement Codes. Review Post Queue and Posting Results for any processing delays/bottlenecks/errors and timely resolve the errors. Creates custom reports and presentations using Elite, Excel and SQL. Develops understanding of 3E data structures to write SQL queries to extract data and prepare ad hoc reports/analysis when necessary. Responsible for setting up, testing and validation of Broadcasts and 3E Stock and Custom notifications. Assist with project coordination and leadership for all new projects as they relate to Elite software and User interface upgrades, including scheduling and testing of system updates/upgrades, deployment of fixes, creating test plans, quality assurance and data integrity checks. Assists with coordination and implementation of software testing process in a lab environment with internal project teams (Billing/AP/GL/Reporting). Identifies and recommends functional system process improvements. Keeps abreast of trends in the marketplace for system improvements and keeps manager informed of latest trends. Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned. Contributes to the Firm's Service Excellence initiative to consistently improve its image internally and externally. Displays professionalism, quality service and a "can do" attitude to internal members/departments of the Firm as well as external clients and vendors via electronic and print correspondence, over the telephone and in-person. Your Qualifications/What You Will Bring
Knowledge of basic accounting principles. Knowledge of financial software including Billing, Trust, AP, GL, and Reporting. Also, Excel and some SQL knowledge are helpful. Ability to provide excellent and high-quality customer support to a global organization. Ability to work with all levels of personnel within the organization. Detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and computer skills. Experience in troubleshooting, problem solving and analytical review. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Required Experience
Education:
Bachelor's Degree preferred. Experience will be considered in lieu of education. Experience:
Minimum 5-7 years of working experience. Accounting experience is preferred. Minimum 3 years' experience supporting financial software required. Experience with Elite is preferred.
