Director of Health Systems - Acute Care/Hospital Location:
West Coast (Remote) Key Responsibilities: Utilize strong clinical knowledge and product expertise to position current brands effectively. Define the quality and value proposition for the portfolio, leading partnerships with marketing and medical teams to ensure product access and strengthen brand leadership in targeted disease categories. Build and maintain strategic relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) committee members to foster collaborative opportunities. Develop detailed account profiles and business plans for marketed products, oversee their execution, and conduct follow-up. Oversee the P&T process for targeted Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs). Optimize resources for aligned accounts and capitalize on market business opportunities. Apply knowledge of reimbursement, contracting, and finance related to the portfolio. Maintain compliance and ethical standards in all customer engagements. Collaborate with the National Account Director to negotiate and execute contracts and brand strategies; manage pull-through activities. Lead cross-functional efforts to monitor competitive activities, identify strategic opportunities, and establish market objectives to drive business performance. Track, analyze, and report on product and account performance to key stakeholders. Have a thorough understanding of reimbursement strategies and issues within the acute care sector. Achieve individual and corporate sales goals and identify new growth opportunities within aligned accounts. Represent products in alignment with company ethics, policies, and compliance. Promote teamwork and effective communication in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a focus on patients and company objectives. Operate with independence, adaptability, and urgency, managing multiple responsibilities as needed. Travel up to 50%, including in-person visits to health systems, HCPs, and attendance at business reviews and conferences. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required, with an MBA or advanced degree preferred. 7-10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry within sales/marketing, with at least 5 years in managed markets or quality settings. Strong relationship management skills, extensive customer network, and consultative sales experience. Clinical and quality expertise within the hospital marketplace, ideally with specific health systems knowledge. Excellent communication, presentation, and advanced problem-solving skills. Ability to drive support from peers and senior leaders, with strategic thinking to identify and execute business opportunities. Proven clinical expertise across a range of therapeutic areas is preferred. Work Environment: Preferably based near an airport. Willingness to travel up to 50%, including overnight trips.
