Non Profit Organization in Chatsworth CA has an opening for an HR Specialist/Recruiter. This is a 3-4 month contract that could go longer depending on how busy they are.
$31 Hourly
Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm
100% Onsite
The Organization is contracted with the State of California, Department of Developmental Services, to provide services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They are one of the largest regional centers in California and has proudly served the San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita Valley, and Antelope Valley since 1974. We serve individuals across the lifespan from infants and toddlers, school age children, transition-age youth, to adults and aging adults.
THE POSITION AND JOB SUMMARY
Assists in managing the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource office and the administration of the human resources policies, procedures and programs. Coordinates implementation of services, policies, and programs through Human Resources staff and at direction of Human Resources Supervisor; assists and advises agency management staff regarding Human Resources issues. Responsible for full cycle recruitment.
Conducts resume searches for qualified applicants from various websites.
Conducts screening interviews and testing of candidates qualifications such as
Microsoft office, computer skills, writing skills, etc.
Creates job postings for open positions. Posts internally for employees and externally on websites for outside applicants.
Assists in maintaining position tracking system and producing HR reports on staffing.
Conducts various HR related trainings, including New Staff Orientation and Time Keeping on ADP portal training.
Processes background checks.
Education Requirements
Associate's degree in a related field and two to four plus years of progressive experience in Recruiting. Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred not required.
Skills and Abilities
General knowledge of State and Federal employment laws and practices; personnel policy and procedure usage.
Experience in full cycle recruitment.
Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
Must include MS Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping.
