We are seeking a highly skilled IT Project Manager to lead a contractor team in managing and coordinating the successful execution of modernization activities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IT project management, particularly in large-scale IT project planning and execution. This role will be responsible for overseeing IT transformation projects leveraging cutting-edge technology while guiding teams through the iterative, Agile delivery. This position requires strong leadership skills, experience in Agile environments, and the ability to manage change in complex initiatives. Key Responsibilities : Oversee and manage the contractor team responsible for modernization activities, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Lead the development and execution of integrated project schedules using tools such as Microsoft Azure DevOps or Jira. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and drive product development. Lead and integrate teams to execute on large-scale data programs, including building data pipelines, repositories, and interactive reports or dashboards. Provide expertise and guidance in data architecture, modeling, and technical consulting. Manage project risks, issues, and scope while ensuring alignment with business objectives. Ensure Agile practices are followed and iteratively deliver features through continuous collaboration with teams. Drive change management processes, communicating project updates and initiatives to stakeholders and ensuring team alignment. Lead and direct cross-functional teams, promoting a collaborative environment to achieve project goals. Qualifications : Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. 5 years of experience in IT project management. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Experience developing and maintaining customer relationships. Experience with integrated project schedules using tools such as Microsoft Azure DevOps or Jira. Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and working in Agile project environments. Experience with change management on high-profile initiatives. Ability to lead and integrate cross-functional teams for successful project execution. Demonstrable experience developing effective status reporting to communicate project status, risk, and updates to schedule. Experience managing project budgets and profit margins. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate teams. Preferred Skills : Strategic thinker with problem-solving abilities and a focus on continuous improvement. Experience working with federal or state government agencies. Experience working with enterprise-level IT modernization initiatives. Experience in proposing strategic advancements and progressing follow on opportunities. Certifications such as: ITIL 4 - IT Service Management. SAFe certifications (Agilist, Practice Consultant, Practitioner, etc.). Certified SCRUM Master.
