We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Regulatory Specialist to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements across our flavor development and production processes. Description
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products comply with applicable domestic and international regulations, including FDA, USDA, FSMA, and EU standards.
- Documentation Management: Prepare and maintain regulatory documents, including product specifications, technical data sheets, and safety data sheets (SDS).
- Labeling Standards: Review and approve product labels for compliance with regulatory standards, including ingredient declarations, allergen statements, and nutritional information.
- Regulatory Submissions: Coordinate submissions for product approvals, certifications (e.g., Kosher, Organic, Non-GMO), and customer-required documentation.
- Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring all regulatory and quality documentation is accurate and accessible.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Sales teams to provide regulatory guidance during product development and customer engagements.
- Policy Updates: Monitor changes in regulatory frameworks and update internal processes and documentation accordingly.
- Customer Support: Respond to customer inquiries regarding product regulatory compliance, documentation, and certifications.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in regulatory affairs, preferably in the flavor, food, or beverage industries.
- Strong knowledge of domestic and international food safety and labeling regulations (e.g., FDA, FSMA, EU, CODEX).
- Familiarity with certifications such as Kosher, Organic, Non-GMO, and Halal.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable steps.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and regulatory compliance software or databases.
- Experience in the flavor or food manufacturing industry.
- Certification in regulatory affairs (e.g., RAPS, PCQI).
- Knowledge of GRAS filings and flavor compliance standards.
Job Offer
- $60,000 - 80,000 Base Salary
