A publicly-traded REIT company headquartered in Santa Monica, CA is seeking a Real Estate Paralegal to assist the companyu2019s real estate transactional attorneys with reviewing various leases and REAs, performing due diligence reviews, drafting lease amendments, and managing the process for obtaining title information.
This is a hybrid onsite position offering a great work environment with flexibility.
Responsibilities
Work closely with two other real estate paralegals in supporting a team of attorneys.
Perform due diligence reviews of leases, REAs, and other documents.
Draft template-based REA and anchor lease amendments, purchase and sale agreements, CC&Rs, and more.
Manage critical dates and deadlines for anchor projects in process.
Manage the title process including placing title orders, reviewing title and survey matters, working with company personnel and third parties to resolve issues, and coordinating issuance of title insurance policies.
Preparing closing binders, transaction summaries and various documents needed for large transactions.
Qualifications 3+ years of law firm and/or in-house experience as a real estate paralegal required, with substantial title and survey expertise preferred.
Notary or open to becoming a notary.
Excellent computer skills to include MS Office, Adobe Acrobat/Reader, iManage, Workshare and Redline.
The compensation range for this position is $90,000 to $120,000 with a strong bonus potential.
