Key Responsibilities:
New Business Development:
Identify, assess, and pursue new business opportunities within the construction and real estate development sectors in New Jersey and surrounding regions. Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including developers, architects, contractors, and local government agencies. Market Research & Strategy:
Analyze market trends, competitors, and industry conditions to inform business strategies and decisions. Proposal and Bid Management:
Lead the preparation of proposals, bids, and presentations to secure new projects and clients. Networking & Events:
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to increase visibility and build connections. Sales and Revenue Growth:
Develop and implement strategies to increase the company's project pipeline and overall revenue. Collaboration with Teams:
Work closely with internal teams (project management, estimating, and operations) to ensure smooth transitions from business development to project execution. Profile Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 10 years of experience in business development or sales within the construction industry. Proven track record of successfully securing new business opportunities and achieving sales targets. Strong knowledge of the New Jersey construction market, including key players, regulatory landscape, and trends. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders. Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute long-term business strategies. Self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and within a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software. Preferred: Experience in industrial or commerical construction field Background in project management or estimating to assist the preconstruction team when needed Existing network of contacts in the New Jersey construction and real estate development sectors.
