Litigation Attorney - General Liability & Casualty We are seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join our team in the Houston area. This role focuses on general liability and casualty defense, providing a dynamic work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation, with extensive experience managing cases from inception to resolution, including trial preparation and courtroom appearances. This position offers a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to work on diverse cases in both state and federal courts, contributing significantly to our strategic success. Salary:

DOE per year Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Proactive management of civil litigation cases from commencement to final resolution in state and federal jurisdictions Preparation and drafting of pleadings, motion papers, and comprehensive legal briefs Performing extensive legal research and analysis to craft robust case strategies Regular interaction with clients to provide updates and strategize on case developments Coordinating with expert witnesses and managing their involvement in cases to support evidence and testimony needs Conducting depositions and representing clients during court hearings and mediations Detailed preparation for and active participation in trials Minimum Position Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school Valid license to practice law in the state of Texas A minimum of 4 years and a maximum of 7 years of direct litigation experience Proven track record of managing a significant caseload independently Strong inclination towards developing effective legal strategies and delivering outstanding client service Preferred Qualifications: Experience specifically in general liability and casualty defense Demonstrated ability to lead a legal team during trials Prior experience in client development and retention Skills: Exceptional research, analytical, and legal writing skills Advanced communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients, court staff, and colleagues Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail Critical thinking ability for quick problem-solving and decision-making Proven ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team Benefits: Competitive salary and benefits package Opportunities for professional development and continuing education Supportive work environment with modern tools and technology
