About this Role:
In this leadership role, you will lead a team of talented engineers, ensuring that the virtualization infrastructure is scalable, performant, and optimized to meet the demands of our high-performance workloads. You will guide the architecture for virtualization layers that integrate seamlessly with AI and HPC applications, while collaborating cross-functionally with other teams to ensure that solutions are deployed efficiently, securely, and with maximum impact. Your leadership and mentorship will be key to shaping the direction of the Compute Team and building a high-performing engineering culture.
In this role, you will:
Lead the design and implementation of virtualization technologies for AI and HPC workloads in cloud environments, ensuring high performance, scalability, and efficiency.
Make architectural decisions on, virtualization layers, and hardware-software integration (e.g., GPUs, TPUs) that will impact the company’s product and roadmap.
Work closely with product management, infrastructure, AI/ML, and hardware teams to ensure alignment between architecture, product features, and infrastructure needs.
Engage with customer success and operations teams to ensure the end-to-end delivery of reliable and performant solutions in production.
Take full ownership of key technical initiatives, ensuring successful delivery from concept to production.
Lead, mentor, and guide a team of engineers, helping them grow in their technical expertise, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
Provide feedback through code reviews, design reviews, and one-on-one mentoring, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Qualifications 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role focusing on virtualization and cloud infrastructure
3+ years of experience designing and optimizing virtualization architectures for GPUs, accelerators, and high-performance networks such as InfiniBand and RoCE.
Deep expertise in virtualization technologies (e.g., KVM, VMware, Xen, etc.) and cloud platforms.
Understanding of the trade-offs between cloud-native architectures, virtualization, and bare-metal performance, and the ability to optimize across these layers.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Go, or Rust.
Proven ability to lead teams, mentor engineers, and influence technical decisions and directions.
Strong interpersonal skills for driving cross-team technical discussions, negotiating trade-offs, and influencing product roadmaps.
Familiarity with CUDA or other GPU programming frameworks for optimizing performance and integrating with virtualization technologies.

Compensation Range: Compensation will be paid in the range of $215,000 - $250,000. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
