About this Role: As a Virtualization Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting and optimizing virtualization solutions for high-performance computing systems. This includes working on GPU and network virtualization, as well as contributing to the development of our cloud hypervisor. You will collaborate with our kernel development team and work across multiple layers of our infrastructure to ensure optimal resource allocation and performance for demanding AI, HPC, and virtualization workloads. In this role, you will: Design, develop, and maintain virtualization layers optimized for AI and HPC workloads in cloud environments.

Develop new features to enable seamless orchestration of compute resources (e.g., GPUs, TPUs, FPGAs) for AI and HPC.

Contribute to the development and optimization of open source virtualization technologies such as KVM, OVS (Open vSwitch), and cloud hypervisor.

Work on high-performance network solutions using technologies such as Infiniband and ROCE (RDMA over Converged Ethernet) to deliver low-latency, high-throughput networking for HPC workloads.

Collaborate with hardware vendors (e.g., AMD, Nvidia) to integrate new drivers and firmware for emerging GPU technologies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to to ensure efficient deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of workloads.

Create and maintain high-quality documentation, including architecture design, performance metrics, and troubleshooting guides.

Qualifications 3+ years of experience in virtualization technologies (KVM, OVS, QEMU, Cloud Hypervisor).

Hands-on experience with GPU virtualization (e.g., SR-IOV, VFIO, or similar technologies)

Strong programming skills in Rust, Go, and C/C++.

Experience working with high-performance networking technologies (e.g., Infiniband, ROCE, RDMA).

Proven ability to work in cloud environments and design solutions for distributed systems.

Experience working in cross-functional teams and partnering with upstream and downstream teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Compensation Range: Compensation will be paid in the range of $183,000 - $210,000. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
