The Vice President of Finance / Chief Financial Officer is a critical role at DWT, with a strategic focus on financial planning, risk management, and operational efficiency. Initially hired as Vice President of Finance, this individual will transition to Chief Financial Officer after successful completion of one year, assuming a broader executive role. Key responsibilities include driving cost efficiency, managing cash flow, leading the financial and controlling teams, and supporting strategic growth through M&A activities and insurance oversight. The Vice President of Finance / Chief Financial Officer will work closely with the CEO, board members, and shareholders to set financial goals that align with the company’s long-term vision. Are You Looking to: Provide strategic recommendations and collaborate closely with the CEO, board members, and shareholders to set financial and organizational goals, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives? Provide commercial insights and leadership across the business in order to exceed business plan targets? Spearhead cost-saving and efficiency initiatives across departments, closely monitoring and reporting on performance metrics to drive continuous improvements? Play a pivotal role in the organization’s M&A strategy by identifying potential opportunities, leading financial due diligence, and providing strategic insights into acquisition decisions? Oversee and manage the organization’s insurance portfolio, ensuring adequate coverage and optimizing costs? Partner closely with other departments, including Operations and People & Culture, to align financial management practices with broader organizational objectives? Are You Ready to: Oversee finance, accounting, invoicing, and cash flow planning functions, with a pathway to establishing a treasury team. Ensure accuracy and compliance in all financial reporting, presenting financial updates and analyses to the board. CPA certification is preferred for tax oversight. Implement rigorous risk management practices, including compliance monitoring and audit readiness, to safeguard the organization’s financial health. Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting efforts, collaborating with the controlling team to align departmental budgets with financial goals and track progress. Manage cash flow, investments, and capital-raising initiatives, balancing immediate operational needs with long-term financial stability. Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and accountability. Prioritize detail-oriented, objective, and unbiased decision-making practices. What You’ll Need: Masters’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA); CPA or CFA preferred. Minimum of 10 years in senior financial roles with experience in team leadership, financial reporting, and budgeting. Proven track record of managing cost-saving initiatives and driving operational efficiency. M&A experience with a strong grasp of financial due diligence and integration. Knowledge of insurance management and risk mitigation. Excellent analytical skills, particularly in cash flow planning, tax strategy, and investment oversight. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to convey financial data across different organizational layers. Knowledge of laws and regulations that apply to organization's financial activities, accounting standards, tax codes, and other applicable regulations to ensure compliance.
